  As I type this it is a crisp blue morning, the breeze is blowing softly and I am drinking coffee as I overlook the boats in the harbor. Perfect! It is the last morning of my 6 night stay with At Home in the Tropics. My stay here has been delightful. Stone floors, thick crisp white walls, flowers, tropical plants and a pool and deck that overlook the harbor and downtown. It is situated in the the restored Security Guard Barracks of the Danish governor's house. A quiet retreat in the middle of everything! Only 12 steps up (88 steps down - choose up!!) to a quick taxi ride to get to snorkeling, boat rides, beaches and shopping...and then returns you to quiet historic retreat away from the crowds. Jessica and Mark are excellent hosts. It is obvious that Jessica enjoys cooking: homemade jams, local fruits, breakfasts that were delicious and different every day! We asked for recommendations for tours and activities, and everything that we did was GREAT!! No Exceptions!! What about hurricane damage? Some of the major hotels in the area have not yet reopened, but most of the damage is cleaned up . The only effect it had on us, was that the beaches and shops were not crowded. The local people were glad to see us and very gracious. My husband and I can only give our experience there all thumbs up!

  This is a wonderful place to be. The minute you step on the property you feel tranquility. The views of the bay are breath taking. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Jessica and Mark immediately make you feel comfortable and go out of their way to see you remain comfortable through out your stay. The breakfast were wonderful. A great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

  Absolutely gorgeous views of the bay in a beautiful house. Mark and Jess couldn't have been better hosts. I would highly recommend staying here.

  Great B&B. Secured/gated location with good access to downtown area via the 99 steps (if you are without mobility issues). Pool and deck have a great view. Nice breakfasts and a friendly staff. Parking is somewhat limited, but taxi's know how to get there.

  We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms are quaint and clean, the pool and terrace have a spectacular view and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts were especially accommodating of food allergies and also offered great advice on local excursions.
