Had breakfast here per the recommendation from our taxi driver and it was great. The atmosphere and decor was cute and the cafe was bustling by 11:30. Friendly staff as well. The proportions were large and the food was delicious, especially their homemade salsa (extra spicy)! Will be coming back for dinner sometime soon!
So good we went twice! Stopped while shopping with my husband the first time. He had the Chicken Roti and I had Kalalloo soup, johnny cakes and fungi with creole sauce. Oh. My. Golly!!! They were super busy due to the cruise ships but attentive. The house salad dressing was tropical and delicious. I think this was my husbands favorite meal while we were on the island. I loved the creole sauce on the fungi (which is kind of like grits) and was disappointed that they didn't sell it with the other hot sauces. Delicious!! The next time we stopped, we were with my in laws and kids. Pauline was our server (Gladys' sister) and she makes you feel like you are sitting in her home. I had the BLT which was good. My husband had the stewed chicken this time which was fall off the bone tender. Kids had pancakes the size of dinner plates. They had a couple toys and books left by other kids which entertained my own while we waited. Pauline even let me daughter keep the book she picked out to read!! This place is a staple. Will definitely go back!!

::Limited menu for breakfast. Decent food. Very relaxed, casual environment catering to an older crowd. Service was very good.

::Very good food. Building is historical. Service is alright but acceptable. It's well worth the trip and price. Definitely need to try the ginger beer.
