::I was unfortunately unable to visit the NWR, but the beaches near the entrance were beautiful. I believe they are private so I wouldn't recommend a long stay or intrusion.

::Beautiful park and beach! My wife and I hiked here from the Cruise Ship Terminal (only took about 45 minutes of walking leisurely to get there). It was overcast and rainy the day we were there but the water was clear and clean. Just watch out for the crabs 🦀😊👍

::This is one of the best beaches on the island. Laid back and quiet as is a lot of the island. Lots of want until 50 ft out where there is a coral ridge about 30 feet deep. The water is so clear you can see tropical fish hiding in the coral. As a reformedb aquarist it was tough to watch thousands of dollars of coral fish flitting and schooling. If only we could take them home. Dive with a spear and kill any invasive lionfish. Watch the poison spikes

::Beautiful but was closed because of the hurricane. We walked on the beach south of Fredericsted instead.

::By far one of the most beautiful beaches. A must see while in STX. For calm blue waters drive straight all the way to the end to the last parking lot. If you want a little surf stop at the first parking lot ! Bring an umbrella as there's no shade and it gets quite hot.
