::Not many people you meet are familiar with Guillain Barre Syndrome. (GBS) Simply put, this is a neurological disorder that affects the peripheral nervous system - in my case causing bilateral paralysis. The pain has been indescribable. I am now in month 11. Four hospitals and four physical therapists later, I had almost reached a point of resigning myself to the facts of immobility and never being pain free again. St. Thomas is our second home. In November, of this year, I wondered if I would be able to make the 2,200 mile trek back to St. Thomas - I thought to myself, just one more time. It occurred to me that my Lord might direct me to someone special who could help me. I scoured the Internet and discovered Synergy - which unknown to me, would become the beginning of my recovery. The treatment I have received has been far superior to that of any other. At Synergy there’s a very special sense of sincerity and compassion combined with spot on therapy techniques that can only be learned and applied through the highest levels of experience.
