Absolutely our favorite island destination, great staff and activities on the property. Food isntigreat you should eat most if your meals off resort in Redhook
Property is beautiful and the rooms are fine. Snorkeling is right off the beach, and they have plenty of non motorized activities to enjoy. They have a couple of hobie cats and there was never a line to use one. The food is actually quite good at the resort. Biggest problem (and is it a large one) is the service at the restaurants and by the pool, which is absolutely atrocious. A large percentage of the waitstaff and hosts just don't care and it shows. It left a bad flavor in our month which would give me pause about a return visit.
The staff here was over the top. They were friendly and helpful any time we needed them. The food was great but we did lose a lot of our laundry. Lisa made the experience worth every hour we worked repairing the damage from the 2 hurricanes that hit. Due to that we had instances where the stay wasn't as good but it wasn't from lack of trying from the staff. They really made the 4 month stay bearable. .. tha ks guys we sure did enjoy you all 100%!!!
There is lots of work being done on the resort post Hurricane Irma and Maria. The 5 star quality is still there beyond a doubt. Praises to security guards for their pleasant and heartfelt welcome. Even though there are no guests at this time, the work crew are welcomed with respect and dignity! 'Ladies and Gentlemen greating Ladies and Gentlemen'.
Phenomenal service and staff. Probably the best service out of most 5 star hotels we have been to and we travel a ton. The hotel arranged a lot of activities for us, our favorite was a private boat snorkeling trip to the nearby islands. Definitely will be going back. The hotel itself is very nice with a beautiful beach and snorkeling, a kids club, delicious drinks. The lobby and hotel itself are very nicely designed with antique chandeliers and high ceilings, made for lots of great photos. The staff would always remember our names and offer to take photos of us and kept sending gifts to our rooms like a clay photo frame with st Thomas Ritz Carlton or chocolate cake saying enjoy your romantic getaway. Loved them!
