  Never book from this place, they con you out of money. I booked a car and was sent an email saying the confirmation was not yet complete, and that it could take 48 hours. Check 48 hours later on their website which is only way to reach them and it says that my booking has been cancelled. I figure they didn't have availability so I book through another company. Now 24 hour prior to arrival I receive a confirmation email, when I try to cancel and explain the situation they say they have to charge the $55 fee. Really???? Your website said my booking was cancelled and you send me an email 24 hours prior to reservation? My card was not charged until this morning. Tried contacting a representative and pretty much said nothing they can do. Completely unprofessional and would not recommend this place and I will never go through this company again!!!!

  Very friendly staff. Adrian hooked us up with a nice car and contacts for things to do around the island. We came shortly after hurricanes Irma and Maria but we’re still able to have a great time while they were rebuilding the island. I would definitely recommend renting your car from here.

  I walked in and was immediately met with a rental agent that was all business. She was willing to explain the details of the contract and knew it in and out, but efficiency was the name of her game. I was signed up, checked in, payment entered, all within 7 minutes. I took my contract outside and was, again, immediately met with a check out person. He walked me around the car, encouraged me to take pictures of minor scratches, and make comments on and perceived damage. This process took a maximum of 2 minutes. I was given the keys to a great yaris hatchback (admittedly I did not think I would like) that was clean, well maintained, and great for the island's tight parking. Drove like a dream with no problems. The drop off was almost instant and I was on my way.

  Less than a 5 minute shuttle ride from the airport! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the the car was great! Clean with plenty of power for getting around all the crazy St. Thomas roads! I will definitely rent from Thrifty again!

  I arrived at the airport and called for a ride. As I walked past the other car companies with numerous people in line waiting to get their car I was surprised the shuttle bus arrived within 10 minutes and the driver was courteous and polite. That's a lot different than the cab drivers who are rude and hurried. It's a short ride to the Thrifty car lot maybe 5 minutes. Went into the office and was greeted by a very friendly agent. Spent about 5 minutes signing the required rental agreements and was out the door to receive the car. Greeted once again by a young man who was polite and professional to show me the car. He reminded me to drive on the left and I was on my way. I highly recommend Thrifty Car Rental. 5 Stars for price, staff, and vehicles.
